Getty Images There are always rumors about whether or not Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle are expecting, but this time, those rumors are circulating about a different member of the royal family.
Royal Expert Angela Mollard has just revealed the odds of each lady in the fam expecting a baby in 2020, and although the predictions favor her sister, Eugenie, by a landslide, Mollard predicts Beatrice could be first to get pregnant, ahead of her wedding to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, which is set for next year.
But is Princess Beatrice pregnant? That’s a question that could be impossible to answer — for now, at least.
1. Is Princess Beatrice pregnant? The royal expert thinks she could end up announcing a pregnancy ahead of her wedding.
“Beatrice could go ‘stuff all this. I’m not doing the wedding. I’m just going to have the baby,’” the expert said, adding. “She should just go and have the baby and worry about the wedding later perhaps.”
The royal family is steeped in tradition, so it would be a little surprising if Beatrice was pregnant before tying the knot — but then again, it is 2020, and it’s not that unusual (or even the least bit scandalous) anymore for a woman to decide to procreate out of wedlock.
2. There have been rumors about Princess Beatrice’s reported pregnancy since October.
In fact, Beatrice has reportedly wanted a baby for a long time, and that’s why she wants to marry Mozzi as quickly as possible. One source close to the royal family has even said that Beatrice and Mozzi are actually already trying to conceive, and if that’s true, this prediction makes even more sense.
“She wants a family and doesn’t care if she’s pregnant when they walk down the aisle — even though this would be heavily frowned upon by the senior royals,” the source said. “However, the truth is, we could have a royal shotgun wedding on our hands.”
3. Beatrice is already becoming a stepmom when this marriage is official.
Before he started seeing Beatrice last year, Mozzi was engaged to Dara Huong, and together, they have a three year old son named Christopher. If Beatrice does end up getting pregnant soon, she and Mozzi are going to have two little ones on their hands.
4. Mozzi and Beatrice got engaged in September.
The news was announced on the royal family’s Twitter, where they shared that Mozzi popped the question during a trip to Italy.
"We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement," Beatrice and Mozzi said in a statement. "We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can't wait to be married. We share so many similar interests and values and we know this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness."
5. Recently, Beatrice’s family has been embroiled in Prince Andrew’s current scandal involving Jeffrey Epstein.
During a BBC interview earlier this fall, Prince Andrew opened up about his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, which ultimately led to Andrew stepping down from his royal duties. Being that Andrew is Beatrice’s father, it goes without saying that this must have had some affect on their family, but whether or not it’ll change her decision to have a baby is yet to be seen.
6. Fans will have to wait and see if Beatrice ends up being pregnant in 2020 or not.
After all, it’s not like we can pour over her social media for clues — Beatrice’s Instagram account is on lockdown.
We’ll just have to wait for the royal to announce the news herself, or for more reports to come out. But either way, with her wedding coming up, Beatrice has a lot to look forward to in 2020.
