Did The Kenya Moore And Yovanna Momplaisir Feud Get Yovanna Fired From 'RHOA'?
More 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' drama!
Why are Kenya Moore and Yovanna Momplaisir fighting?
This isn't the first time that the stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta have gone at each other's throats, but this feud is certainly the most intense one that the gorgeous ladies of the ATL have gone through in a while. Yovanna Momplaisir is one of the newcomers on the show, so it would make sense that she'd go through a period of adjustment to her new, more public, life. But it seems she's already left the show before she could even get started.
Let's break down all the details of the Kenya Moore and Yovanna Momplaisir feud and how it has impacted the Real Housewives of Atlanta show.
1. The Kenya Moore-Yovanna Momplaisir feud started in August 2019.
Back in August 2019, Kenya Moore took to Instagram Live to declare that one of her co-stars had "stabbed her in the back." At that time, Moore declined to name the Housewife responsble for the "stabbing," which immediately led to fan speculation on who it could be. Though popular theories at the time suggested that either Tanya Sam or Eva Marcille were responsible for the betrayal, it's now all but certain that the guilty party was none other than Yovanna Momplaisir.
2. Yovanna Momplaisir was angling for a fulltime RHOA stint.
When the Kenya Moore and Yovanna Momplaisir feud first kicked off, Moore suggested that the person responsible for stabbing her in the back might be doing so to get some clout on the show. It just so happened that a few weeks before, Yovanna Momplaisir was trying to angle for a full-time RHOA stint. What's more, because Momplaisir was friends and/or frenemies with most of the show's "main players" such as Nene Leakes, she thought she'd be a natural shoo-in.
3. The Nene Leakes factor.
Shortly after Kenya Moore went on Instagram Live to talk about one of her castmates' betrayal, she and Nene Leakes (remember, the aforementioned friend of Yovanna Momplaisir's) nearly came to blows during the RHOA trip to Toronto. Apparently, the cast went up to Marlo Hampton's hotel room, where Cynthia Bailey (a friend of Moore's) started arguing with Hampton about an alleged recording of Bailey trash-talking Leakes. So, in response, Moore jumped to Bailey's defense, claiming that the audio of Bailey trash-talking Leakes didn't really exist. This, of course, led Leakes to jump into Moore's face and the duo almost came to blows.
4. But the recording did exist.
From the get-go, rumors were circulating that the recording of Cynthia Bailey trash-talking Nene Leakes did, in fact, exist, and the person who had the recording in her possession was none other than Yovanna Momplaisir. Since Kenya Moore is a friend of Bailey's, it would make sense that Moore would, subsequently, feud with Momplaisir — and, to that point, dubbed Momplaisir a "snake" as a result.
5. Did Yovanna Momplaisir leave the show?
This is where it gets a little tricky to discern the facts from the rumors. Reportedly, Yovanna Momplaisir not only manufactured the entire recording of Cynthia Bailey trash-talking Nene Leakes, but Momplaisir said that she never did such a thing in the first place because she "ain't no spy." When Kenya Moore reportedly refused to shoot with Momplaisir, Momplaisir left the show.
6. Or did the Kenya Moore-Yovanna Momplaisir feud result in Yovanna's firing?
Here's yet another theory: Yovanna Momplaisir was fired from the show because Kenya Moore and Cynthia Bailey refused to shoot with her. Because two cast members refused to shoot with Momplaisir, she got kicked off of RHOA.
Whatever turns out to be the actual true story, one thing's for certain: the Kenya Moore-Yovanna Momplaisir feud is very messy!
