Alaskan Bush People star Bear Brown was heating things up with his 21-year-old model girlfriend Raiven Adams. The 31-year-old dated her for about a year. The couple met when her brother Noah married his wife Rhain in August 2018. A source close to the Brown family said: "She was welcomed into the Brown family with open arms." Who is Raiven Adams and why did they break up?

1. She's featured in the new season

Bear and Raiven didn't go public with their relationship right away, however, Raiven will be an integral part of the upcoming season of the Discovery show when it premieres on August 4. Their relationship will unfold in front of the camera and fans will get to see Bear fall in love for the first time. Raiven said: "I am so happy and feel so complete with Bear in my life and I know we can get through anything. I am living my life as best I can and trying my best to not get overwhelmed by all of the new experiences."

2. She's a "model."

Why the quotes? Well because to be a model, you have to model. Or, you know post a ton of well-posed and filtered Instagram shots. And perhaps she does that, but we wouldn't know as her IG is private. So is Bear's. The photo below is on Raiven's mom's IG and is captioned: "My second shooter and my own personal daughter/model."

3. Bear's family approves

Bear's sisters Rain and Birdie fully approve of Raiven with their brother. Bear's parents Billy and Ami also approve of their relationship. A souce close to the Brown family said: They are just so happy that all of their sons have found their life partners, and Ami can’t believe that the nest has gotten so full, so fast!”

4. Raiven said Bear is "the real deal"

Raiven currently lives in Washington, where Alaskan Bush People shoots (I know, right?), but she is from Colorado. In interviews, Raiven has gushed over how happy she is and how complete she feels with Bear by her side. Her Instagram bio even mentions him.

5. But is it a sham?

Some fans aren't buying the relationship between Raiven and Bear. Her career as a "model" have given some fans the idea that Bear's relationship isn't real. Was Raiven cast on the show to be his love interest? Was she essentially hired to up the drama of the show? It wouldn't be the first time this show was revealed to be somewhat scripted. The Brown clan is portrayed as living off the grid in the Alaskan bush. They do not (more on that in the next point). Even when they aren't filming, they live in modern homes with modern ammenties. The ratings for last season tanked, so could Raiven have been hired by Discovery to ignite new interest in Alaskan Bush People? Just a year ago, Raiven and her mom were living in Colorado...

6. They recently broke up

Fans of the show have been harassing Raiven since day one and she's had quite enough. On September 9 she took to social media to announce that she and Bear, whom she had become engaged to, were breaking up. She said:  “It’s been a long battle for me to decide what I should do. What I should say,” she told fans on September 9. “I think this life is too much for me. The drama, the articles, the harassment. The mean people who have nothing better to do. And due to that, and several other reasons, [Bear and I] have decided to stay friends. Sometimes two people are meant to be in each other’s [lives] … but not in the way they thought. Wishing the wolf pack all of the best luck on every adventure.”

7. She's not going anywhere, however

Even though Raiven and Bear have broken up, Raiven will still be a part of the Wolf Pack as she is expecting a baby with Bear. She said: “Quickly after deciding friendship was best for us, we found out we had a little surprise coming our way. After a quick engagement, because we felt that was the right thing to do, we talked about things and ultimately decided being coparents was best for us as well as our baby. We are super excited and surprised to announce this, especially due to current events. We are excited to coparent as friends and do our best to be the best we can be.”
