New Details About The Kylie Jenner/Kendall Jenner Feud
They've been growing apart for years.
Instagram If you've been keeping up with the Kardashian/Jenner family drama, you'd know that Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner don't seem to be as close as they used to be. Rumor has it they have been secretly feuding for some time.
The sisters have reportedly grown apart in recent years and "can't stand each other," although they're clearly good at hiding it, a new report by Radar Online revealed.
Kylie, who made a name for herself through her lip kits and cosmetics brand Kylie Cosmetics, and Kendall, one of the highest paid supermodels, appear to be closer to their Kardashian sisters than each other. Although a representative denied any such feud between the two, they certainly seem to have drifted apart over the years.
So what's the deal? Are they feuding or just not as close as they used to be? Here's the scoop and all the details you need to know about the Kylie Jenner/Kendall Jenner feud.
1. It started in 2014.
The tension between the sisters has been rising for four years, ever since Kendall decided to pursue a modeling career in 2014. When Kendall told Kris and Caitlyn Jenner of her dream of being a model, Kylie was overcome with jealousy and anger.
In 2017, a source revealed to Radar Online that Kylie hadal ways wanted to be a model and didn't get the hype about her sister.
"Kylie has never understood the big fuss about Kendall and her catwalk career," the source leaked. "In her opinion, she has just as much to offer in the beauty and style stakes."
2. Money has been a big issue.
Kylie and Kendall aren't supportive of each other's career, according to Radar Online. Kylie, who recently appeared on the cover of Forbes for being the youngest self-made billionaire, has been rubbing her success in Kendall's face. Kendall's estimated worth is around $50 million while Kylie is estimated to be worth $900 million.
“There’s so much envy between these two, it’s as though they’re not happy when the other’s doing well," a source told the outlet. “Kylie really rubs it in and it’s been a big issue lately, because Kendall’s on the ascendency with her modeling. And that’s gotten Kylie looking over her shoulder.”
Kendall is jealous of Kylie's income and doesn't see why her younger sister is worth so much.
"Kendall thinks it's crazy how much Kylie's worth, while she's only got a fraction of that in the bank herself," an insider revealed.
The source added that although the sisters have known nothing but success, they are greedy and hate to see the other on top.
"What’s crazy is that they’re both impossibly spoiled and have been rich since birth, but nothing seems to be enough and their greed knows no bounds," the insider said.
3. Kendall's increasing popularity bothered Kylie.
At the start of her modeling career, Kendall admitted she used to cry because Kylie was so much more popular than she was. After stealing one of Kylie's old BFFs, Hailey Baldwin, and making tons of friends in the last few years, Kendall bragged about having more friends than her older sis.
"It's crazy because I really never thought that I would have more friends than Kylie, not that that's ever a competition or should be anything... I don't want that to come off weird, but again, she's so happy with the life she's living," Kendall told Elle in November.
4. They don't get along.
The Jenner sisters are very different and that has caused them to steer clear of building a friendship.
"I don't think we'd be friends if we weren't sisters," Kylie revealed in an episode of Life of Kylie. "We have different opinions. We do everything differently."
Kendall agreed, telling an interviewer that they "butt heads all the time."
5. Kendall wasn't there when Stormi was born.
When Kylie gave birth to her first child, Stormi, in February 2018, Kendall was the only one in the family not in attendance. She had a busy schedule with her modeling career and wasn't able to be there with the rest of her family but did FaceTime to check in.
"It's obviously a bit weird that your little sister is having a baby before you," Kendall told Elle. "I didn't expect it to happen like this. But it's beautiful."
Despite not being at Stormi's birth (or her first birthday), Kendall said that she and Kylie have gotten a little more friendly since.
"This has made her a bit more loving toward me," she added.
