Is Halsey Back Together With Machine Gun Kelly? New Details On Their On-Again, Off-Again Relationship
The two have known each other for a long time.
Love is dead — or at least it feels that way. On July 3rd, Halsey and G-Eazy confirmed their split after dating for over a year.
In an Instagram story, Halsey wrote, “G-Eazy and I are taking some time apart. I’m eager to continue the upcoming passage of time dedicating myself to my art and my career and the duration of my tour. I wish him the best. Thanks for respecting our privacy at this time.” Cue the waterworks.
Time heals all wounds, as they say, but is Halsey back together with Machine Gun Kelly, her ex-boyfriend? Well, though the two were spotted hanging out, we probably shouldn’t get too excited.
The exes were seen chatting outside of a Hollywood nightclub shortly before announcing her break up, but we might just be looking into it too closely. Because according to a source, “Halsey and Machine Gun Kelly are just friends, She definitely isn’t rebounding with him. They have known each other for a long time and share a ton of mutual friends.” Who says you can’t stay good friends with your ex?
But we’re more curious as to why Halsey and G-Eazy split in the first place. Was it because they were fighting? Did someone cheat? Well, not exactly. A source explained that it had more to do with their busy schedules.
“With her and G’s schedule, things became unfavorably complicated. They tried to make the distance thing work, but the two of them are both super engaging and interactive people, and it became too difficult for them to sustain a balanced and healthy relationship when they were spending so much time apart,” the source revealed.
Time apart is normal in an industry like this, and it’s sad that sometimes celebrities have to call it quits because of that. But it is possible that the two will get back together in the future?
A source for the split commented, “They are still very much in love and are optimistic about their paths inevitably crossing again in the future. They believe if it’s meant to be, it will be.”
Maybe they just need to focus on their individual careers for the time being? If they’re truly meant to be with one another, they will find their way back together.
