Zodiac Signs Who Respect Authority Figures Vs. The Ones Who Rebel Against Them
Do you submit to authority or rebel against it?
We all have to deal with authority at one point or another in our lives — with teachers, parents, bosses, members of the clergy, or armed forces, and we all react differently. Some people simply can't stand to be told what to do and reject all types of authority.
I know that I can never do any kind of exercise boot camp, because if somebody screamed at me to do 100 squats in a mean/forceful way, I would be out immediately. Then, there are those people who like to have an authority figure around because it makes them feel safe. People in the military, especially, have the will power and patience to deal with authority, which is an admirable trait (since most of us would probably yell right back at a drill sergeant).

How we react to authority affects our entire lives, and it starts early with our parents. It may seem as if there's always someone telling you what to do, like clean your room, do your chores, do well in school, and maybe which career to go into.
But when do we fight the authority and when do we submit? Fighting everything anyone who tells you to do can be as bad as blindly obeying someone, especially if your gut is telling you not to do it. But there are usually consequences for fighting back.
For instance, if a professor is asking you to hand in a paper but you don't think writing one is necessary, especially because you don't like teachers telling you what to do, you'll probably get a failing grade. But if your coworker is telling you to do something you morally object to (like playing a mean prank on another coworker or forging a document), and you choose not to do it, the consequences may be that your coworker no longer speaks to you.
Since the stars have so much to do with how our personalities are and how we react to things, our zodiac signs have a lot to do with how we react to authority and how we are at leadership ourselves. Find out how your zodiac sign responds to authority.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)
Aries are natural leaders because they're inspiring</a>, clear and demanding. If they're in a situation with an authority figure, they'll have a tendency to challenge them. They're good workers, but they're going to question their boss often and won't stop trying to come up with new and better ways to do things.
Aries aren't the type to just lay down and take it, and they don't appreciate being micromanaged.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Taureans can be both leaders and followers. If someone in a position of authority tells them to do something, they'll usually do it unless they feel like they're being pushed too far. Then Taurus' natural stubbornness comes out and they'll become resistant.
Whatever you do, don't trigger a Taurus.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
Geminis are one of the more flexible signs of the zodiac, which makes it easy to see the benefits of certain situations. If a health professional or a teacher tells them to do something, and Gemini knows it's for their greater good, they're going to do it.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers don't want any trouble — they've got a lot of feelings, a lot of the time, and they're not going to be needlessly confrontational if they can avoid it. They'd rather do exactly what they're told rather than confront authority.
If a police officer gives them a ticket, they won't try to talk their way out of it, they'll take the ticket.
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
Leos like to be the leader, and when it comes to someone above them in a position of authority they'll usually try to charm them. They make friends with their doctors, priests, and anyone else of authority. Yes, they were the teacher's pet and they're the one who can usually get the boss to give everybody a bonus.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Virgo is a sign of service and are natural followers. They take direction well and feel most fulfilled when doing something selfless for someone they love and respect. Virgos view most authority figures with the utmost of respect and believe that they have their best interests at heart.
Libra (September 23 - October 22)
For the most part, Libras will follow an authority figure's directive, unless they think it's unfair; then, they will fight it with every ounce of their being. Libras don't enjoy conflict, but they won't stand passively by when something is unjust. Crooked cops or authority figures who are blatant assh*les, watch out for the Libra.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
Powerful and dominant, Scorpios have a hard time working under somebody else's leadership. They're usually in positions of authority, and since they need to be in control, they don't do well under somebody else's command.

Sagittarians try to avoid authority as much as possible. They feel very confined (when they're not traveling) anyway, so being told to do something they may not want to do doesn't go down easily for a them.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
Capricorns understand authority and rules and think that they're a necessary part of life. This is why Capricorns so often thrive in careers in the military. Authority is like a language that Capricorns are fluent in.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
Aquarians buck up when authority figures are involved. They don't like being told what to do or what to think and have their own ideas of what's right or wrong. Aquarians are their own unique brand of authority and they'll make their own rules for their life.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces aren't great with authority. They don't enjoy being told what to do, especially when it interferes with their creative process and/or constant dreaming. Pisces don't respond well to rules, anything that makes them feel stiffled, or anyone who is too rigid or exacting.
