Everybody has a crush on somebody at some point in their life. Maybe you had a crush on a boy in your science class or a member of a boy band. You may have had a girl crush which helped you with your sexuality, or a crush on that guy who you can't stand but secretly think is hot.
We don't just have crushes when we're young — there are a whole lot of people we can crush on when we're an adult, like the inappropriate work crush, your best friend's boyfriend, and even the barista at your favorite coffee place.
Crushes don't have to end in frustration with you burying your head in a pillow. Instead, they can be fun and put a little extra flavor to your day. And as always, since your zodiac sign has much to do with your personality, it also has an influence on how you talk to a crush. That is, if you have the guts to actually (OMG) speak to them
Aries (March 21 - April 19)
An Aries individual isn't shy, especially when they're interested in someone. They're so confident they almost always make the first move, and if the feeling isn't mutual, they'll move on. There's no confusion — if an Aries isn't that into you, you'll know it.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
When a Taurus is with their crush, they'll flirt in a shy way. They tease and laugh but their eye contact will be sporadic — they'll look at their crush, then look away over and over again. No matter how shy a Taurean might be, they'll still get in a hug or two because they love to hug.
Gemini (May 21 - June 20)
It can be difficult to know if a Gemini has a crush on you because they're charming and lighthearted with everyone they talk to. Since they have such a great sense of humor, there's likely to be some banter and inside jokes involved. If the Gemini seems a bit more intensely focused on you more often, then you might be the object of their crushing.
Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
Cancers are super-sweet and caring, and will only make the first move if their crush doesn't. Cancers are big on giving compliments. The good part is that they're not trying to play you, they really believe that you're beautiful, funny, talented and smart, and they really want you to know it.
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
When a Leo has a crush on you, it's like having the sun shine only on you on a rainy day. While Leos want to believe that they're playing it totally cool when they're talking to their crush, it's actually pretty obvious how excited they are to be able to talk to you and look at you. If they touch you, even if it's just their hand on your arm, they'll be practically exploding with happiness on the inside.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
Virgos will get extremely nervous around their crush and will analyze the conversation to death later, even if it's a text conversation or an email. "Why did he say 'hey' instead of 'hi?'" After they've looked at each word and nuance, they'll make a plan for the next interaction. They can do this for a long time, so if you like a Virgo, count on making the first move, but make sure it's obvious that this is what you're doing.
Libra (September 23 - October 22)
Libras are the flirtiest sign of the zodiac. They're charming, smooth talking, and can be almost too smooth. They'll make the first move in a totally unique way that the person they're crushing on will not see coming. Yep, Libra is one smooth operator.
Scorpio (October 23 - November 21)
When a Scorpio has a crush on someone, they become completely fascinated by them and make it their life's mission to find out everything they can about the person. Yes, Scorpios can be a little obsessive, but in a good way. They make their crush feel spectacular and as if they're the most interesting person on the planet.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
The crushing Sagittarius is cute but clumsy. When they're around their crush, they'll laugh and make jokes and it will be very obvious that they've got a crush on the person. Eventually, after what will seem like years, the Sagittarius will make the first move, but their crushee will absolutely see it coming.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
When a Capricorn is talking to their crush, they'll be giggly, nervous, and get a bit flustered — completely opposite than the way they usually act. When a Capricorn is crushing, their quirky side comes out and it's a lot of fun to see the usually together Capricorn lose their cool.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
When an Aquarius has a crush on someone, they play the long game by becoming friends with their crush, integrating into the crush's social circle, and spending so much time with their crush that a real relationship will just naturally develop. Why the Aquarian is never relegated to the friend zone is a testament to their charisma and sheer sexiness.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces will spend so much time imagining talking and being with their crush that they'll get momentarily confused when they actually talking to them in real time. Soon enough, reality and fantasy will merge, and Pisces will be able to make a move. They love love, so they're not going to waste a chance at getting it.
