Riding dirty is more popular than ever.

By Korin Miller

You’re already well aware of the dangers of texting while driving, but apparently some people need a PSA on the potential ramifications of boning behind the wheel.

According to a new survey of more than 1,000 people from automotive technology company DriveMode, one in six Americans say they’ve “engaged in sexual activity” while driving.

Apparently men are way more into it than women: 24 percent of dudes say they’ve gotten a little penile action while driving, while just eight percent of women say they’ve engaged in auto-play.

The huge gender gap could be due to a few things:

  1. Most women would rather get their rocks off when they’re not fighting rush hour traffic.
  2. It's anatomically easier to access a peen that's wedged behind the wheel than a vagina.
  3. The guys could be—gasp!—exaggerating.

Worth noting: The survey asked whether drivers simply did something that was sexual, so that technically encompasses a driver showing themself some love on the way home (ya know, like when "Pony" comes on the radio).

The survey also discovered that 38 percent of people have cried while driving, 14 percent drink alcohol while driving, and 10 percent have changed their clothes behind the wheel. How?

Just a few more reasons to avoid eye contact with those around you the next time you’re at a stop light.
