As we wait (and wait and wait!) for Juan Pablo to bring his sexy abs to our televisions in January, we're taking a stroll back to catch up with some of our favorite Bachelor contestants.
We can't start this trip down memory lane without first remembering Gia Allemand. We're still reeling from her sudden death on August 14. It was a major loss for the Bachelor family as well as Bachelor fans. Gia was a favorite from the moment she stepped out of that limo to meet Jake Pavelka. And we'll always remember her darling smile and so-sweet-she'll-give-you-a-cavity personality.
In happier news, Bachelor nation will soon welcome a wee one. DeAnna Pappas Stagliano just announced she's expecting her first baby with her husband of close to two years, Stephen Stagliano. In 2007, Brad Womack angered women everywhere when he rejected both DeAnna and Jenni Croft during The Bachelor's finale. The following year, Georgia peach DeAnna searched for love as The Bachelorette and ultimately accepted Jesse Csincsak's proposal. However, the two split just months later and here's a fun fact: DeAnna's husband's twin is Michael Stagliano, who fought for Jillian Harris' love on season 5 of The Bachelorette.
Which other former Bachelor contestants also walked down the aisle? Who recently called off an engagement? (In our best Chris Harrison voice), "Find out these answers and more ..."
Courtney Robertson's post-Bachelor romance with Ben Flajnik didn't last long. They moved in together in California's Bay Area, but quickly called things off. She moved back to LA, and what do you know? She just moved back to Northern California to take her relationship with Cavan Clark to the next level. "We've been talking about getting back together for a while now," Courtney revealed last month. "The first time we dated, we had to do long distance and we both hated it." And what about concerns that she'll be close to her ex-fiancé? "Everyone's saying it's too close for comfort," she says. "But honestly, that's not even on my radar. Cavan and I are ready to start our lives together." We do wish her happiness!
One of the last times we saw gorgeous Chantal O'Brien, she was modeling in Sport Illustrated's 2011 Swimsuit Edition. Where is she now? Well, she's now Chantal Razore after getting hitched in May 2012. She never announced or confirmed it, but her wedding registry did surface on various media sites. And speaking of not making announcements, Chantal and husband Jeff kept their recent pregnancy under wraps, too. And again, her registry spilled the beans for her, suggesting she delivered her first child—possibly a boy, based on her Pinterest boards—sometime in July! Congrats, you two.
While Tierra admits she "cannot control [her] eyebrow," she can control how much information we know about her fiancé! His name has remained a secret, but we do know he wears cool kicks according to one Instagram post from Tierra last month. They've been engaged since January, when Mystery Man popped the question with a four-carat yellow diamond. The couple lives in Colorado, and must be busy planning a wedding—at least we hope they are!
The last time AshLee made headlines, she was confirming her relationship with Brad Womack. Well, that ended soon after it began, or so claimed sources last June. It doesn't appear AshLee's heartbroken, though. On August 20, she tweeted, "Some BIG announcements are coming!!" We can't wait for her to share the news.
Who could forget Rozlyn? Known as the contestant who had an "inappropriate relationship" with a Bachelor producer and was subsequently kicked off, Rozlyn says there was never really any truth to it. She hasn't done any interviews since 2010, when the dramz was all over the news. Even her Twitter and personal website have been inactive since she floated back into IRL obscurity.
We had hopes Kip-Ten would make it down the aisle, but Tenley ended her relationship with Kiptyn Locke in March. Tenley is now running her own popular food blog called Sweet and Free Life, where she shares delicious gluten-free recipes—including desserts! Maybe we see a cookbook deal in her future?
Michelle Money was a fan favorite just because of her crazy antics—remember the mysterious black eye? Since her days competing for Brad's heart, Michelle returned to Salt Lake City, where she's a hair stylist and makeup artist. She just recently launched her own shopping website at MichelleMoney.com. Last week, she posted a necklace for sale in memory of Gia Allemand. The proceeds will benefit Gia's memorial and family.
We saw Kacie return to The Bachelor in hopes of wooing Sean, but alas, she was placed in the friendzone. Since then, she started Kacie B's Bridal Boot Camp in Nashville, where she lives. She's dating Rusty Gaston, a music producer, and she's quickly falling for him. "I have the best boyfriend in the entire world now. … And he's a great Christian guy."
If you've been a lifelong Bachelor fan, you just might remember Mary. She was dumped by Season 4 Bachelor Bob Guiney, but returned to the show to have a chance with Bachelor Byron Velvick—where she did receive the final rose! They never made it down the aisle as their relationship hit some turbulence. Mary faced a number of run-ins with the law, including two DWIs and a domestic battery charge. Most recently, she's been focusing on her real estate business in Tampa, FL.
We first met Meredith Phillips during Bob Guiney's season, and we shipped hard for her to find love during her season of The Bachelorette. She fell for Ian McKee, but it didn't last. In 2008, she released a cookbook for couples. She's now married to her high school sweetheart Michael Broady (aww), and they're working on remodeling their Portland, OR home. She recently opened up about her addiction to alcohol and how getting sober has changed her life. "I want to live," she said. "I have had a really, really hard four years and, you know, I'm getting my strength from my weakness, and that was alcoholism. That's driving me to be a better person and to do good. I want to see what I have because it's not over yet."
Blakeley is a single lady once again. Less than two months after Blakeley got engaged to Tony Pieper on the Bachelor Pad 3 finale, he confirmed the romance had fizzled. Blakeley moved to Portland to be with Tony, but that's where the trouble began. "This didn't end the way I wanted it to," he said. "I thought Blakeley was the love of my life." They did try to make things work by seeking out a relationship counselor, but it wasn't enough. "It was like a fairy tale at first when we were on the show and afterward," he said. "It was like a vacation—we were in the honeymoon stage. Then when she moved here, it was really difficult for both of us. Blakeley had to start over a new life—there were so many stresses. The honeymoon stage drifted away. We were both going through the motions and we weren't as happy as we could have been." Blakeley has since moved back to Charlotte, NC where she's working as an esthetician, according to Twitter.
