Vanessa Bryant makes a disturbing remark about her hubby's performance.
The logic behind her argument is, if he spends time away from his family he better be bringing rings home. That's kind of like saying, since she spends so much time with their two children, they better be perfect.
According to Yahoo! Sports, Vanessa said in a New York Magazine transcription, "I certainly would not want to be married to somebody that can't win championships. If you're sacrificing time away from my family and myself for the benefit of winning championships, then winning a championship should happen every single year." Why Did Kobe Bryant's Wife File For Divorce Now?
This couple has had marriage trouble before—Vanessa filed divorce papers last winter, only to reconcile with Kobe—and it's statements like this that make us wonder about their relationship. What about forgiving the man for losing a game and just being happy he loves you enough to keep trying, Vanessa? She wouldn't have her house, trips and cars if Kobe wasn't out there working his magic on the court and overseas with his sponsorship deals.
We hope Vanessa can find it in her heart to forgive her hubby's absence even if he doesn't win a championship every year. He's only one man, and they need a team to win!
