  • About Me:
By day, Izzy Cihak is shaping young minds as a professor of Temple University’s First Year Writing Program.By night, he’s searching the live venues of Philadelphia (or, on less exciting nights, stacks upon stacks of CDs) for the music you should be listening to. From 2003-2007 Izzy drank PBR, listened to Belle & Sebastian, and mingled with hipsters at University of the Arts. In very un-hip fashion, he followed this up with an MA from Temple University. Izzy currently writes and blogs about music for Origivation and High Voltage Magazine. His writing can also be found in publications like Nerve, Baltimore City Paper, Burning Angel, Girl Punk.Net, and Lyke Magazine. Izzy’s interests include Morrissey, Weimar Berlin, and the New French Extremity.

What is a Blog?

A blog is a like a public journal. Any YourTango user can create a blog, which is a place to write about anything and everything related to relationships. Your posts will appear in the blogs section of your profile.

Why Should I Write One?

Write a blog because you have something to say, and YourTango wants to hear it. Write because you're in a relationship, falling in love, breaking up, getting married, dating or fighting. Write because you're ecstatic, lonely, surprised or scared. Write because you have a question, an answer, an opinion or a rant.

Need another reason? You could be featured on our homepage!

How Do I Create a Blog Entry?

Writing a blog is super easy. Just write something in the empty box. It can be as short or as long as you want. Include a catchy headline and description so people will want to read your post. Click "preview" to see what the post will look like before it goes up, and publish what you've written on the site. That's it!
