Your issues show up in your tisssues. I believe that all mental and physical problems have their origin in unresolved emotional issues. Through the use of Energy Psychology Techniques we can ...
If you are stuck in despair and a downward spiral, feeling anxious, disconnected, or confused, I can help you get unstuck, take control of your dreams and turn them into realities. I use both head and heart to help clients release their sadness and move on to have vibrant lives.
As a result of the work they are doing with me, clients all over the world are putting away the Kleenex box, improving their physical, mental and emotional health and moving on with their lives. I help them get to the root of the emotional blocks, limiting beliefs and problematic behaviors that are the underlying causes of their problems. But that isn’t the final step. Insight and awareness alone aren’t enough to create change. You must have the movement piece. This is why I feel that Energy Psychology and other Mind/Body approaches are invaluable in actually making change a reality.
As an innovator, visionary and pioneer in the Energy Psychology field and author of life-changing books like, Chakras: The Magnificent Seven: Pathways to Higher Energy, Happiness and Health and the soon to be released book, Turn Your Frown Upside-Down: 7 Simple Steps to Walk You Through Loss and Life Transitions, I use state of the art, cutting edge, mind/body tools to help you quickly create the results you desire. In my more than two decades of experience, I have become passionately committed to empowering people to help themselves out of pain and into joy. In that effort I give you ‘tools to go’ that you can easily implement into your life, to turn your frown upside down, anytime, anywhere.
Although traditionally trained with degrees in Education and Communications from Long Beach State University, I did graduate work at Loyola Marymount University where I advanced my studies to become a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Specialist and a Certified Grief Specialist. Grief became a central focus of my work, because it is a critical issue in addictive and dysfunctional behavior.
Imagine having more energy, more happiness, more success and a greater sense of personal satisfaction, at your fingertips. What if you could be healthy and fit, living with vibrancy and purpose; feeling present in the moment and hopeful for the future and surrounded by people and activities you love? I can help you make this your reality.

The Reason I Became A Helping Professional
At a very young age, I fell in love with a glamorous Television Producer. He looked like Tom Selleck and seemed to be my knight in shining armor. I married him and then the knight became a nightmare as alcoholism reared its ugly head. The moodiness, the violence, the melancholy, the belligerence, the depression and the low self-esteem, all became a part of everyday life for Paula Shaw.
Why do I choose now to bring these events to a public forum, you ask? Because, in my mind, the whole purpose of writing in a public forum is to allow others to benefit from your strength, hope and experience.
And so I share…publicly …that my husband’s path to healing, lead me to a lot of my own healing and to realizing that my purpose in life was to be a helping professional. Because of his disease and subsequent recovery, I went back to school and became both a Grief Counseling Specialist and an Addictive Disorders Counseling Specialist. Working with these issues and the relationship problems created by them, is my passion and my joy today.
Did I go to the school of hard knocks…Absolutely! Do I have any regrets…not one…it all brought me to the beautiful life that I have today.
