About Sherri Murphy
Sherri is the CEO and founder of Elite Connections. I have lived in California most of my life but originally from New Mexico. People say I have a warm and friendly people person with a South Western attitude. I'm sure that's why I've done well in this business and I find the job of matching singles a very fulfilling one. I've been a natural matchmaker all my life (even in high school). I believes there there is a love match for everyone but you won't find them sitting at home alone. You have to get out there and meet new people in new ways. HMy personal matchmaking style has worked for thousands of Elite Connections' clients. I work together with my daughter Tammi Pickle with VIP and international clients.
I moved to Southern California in 1976 from Mammoth Lakes, sold real estate over 14 years and came across matchmaking by pure fate. I was introduced to my husband Bill through a matchmaker and this inspired me to start my own matchmaking agency in 1994. I opening my 1st Elite Connections' location in Los Angeles soon after meeting Bill. My daughter Tammi is the one that picked Bill for me so that was Tammi's first job as a matchmaker and we've been working together ever since.
I have hosted a black tie fund-raiser called Party With A Purpose for 15 years and started a non-profit that benefits homeless Los Angeles children. Clients fly in from as far way as New York for the yearly fundraiser. Everyone looks forward to this amazing black tie event and we've had marriages to people that have met there. I'm a big animal lover and support my friends animal rescue and I've adoppted two dogs from it (Pug Nation LA).
My company, Elite Connections has been featured on the O Network matching celebrities, NBC, The New York Times, Forbes, Variety, Beverly Hills Magazine, Westside Magazine, Westlake Magazine, "Successful Singles Magazine", "Love Works" TV Show, Calabasas Style Magazine, Life After 50, "Love on the Edge" radio talk show, Popular European TV shows and many local newspapers. I was coauthor of "Matters of the Heart", a popular dating advice column that appeared in a South Bay newspaper for over nine years. My best satisfaction comes from seeing people that I've matched in love, and when I'm invited to the engagement parties and weddings, it's even better.
Sherri Murphy Success Stories
Happy Couple Find Love In Thier Fourties
When we met with Doug and Jingle we knew we could help each of them find love. They were both successful in their careers and seriously looking to settle down. Jingle was a flight attendent. She was busy traveling the world but ready for a serious relationship. Doug worked in the movie business and he wanted to find a woman that he could travel and spend time with. They'd led very different lives but had so many things in common. Most importantly they were adventerous people. But when we tried to introduce them they both said that they other lived to far away. The matchmakers explained that an hour distance is nothing if you fall in love. If you get married, don't you move in together? So the couple met and hit it off quickly. They moved intogether within 8 months and married within 2 years. They had a beautiful wedding on the bluffs of Ranco Palos Verdes in a glass chapel that the CEO of Elite Connections was also married in.
