At the Golden Globes on January 6th, the two made an Instagram video for Instyle, where they were making out in an elevator.
A few days later, Lupita tweeted and tagged Michael on working out together using the hashtag #OnCallSquats.
The tweet stemmed from a conversation had at the Golden Globes between the two star on who can do more squats. We don't have the answe, but they do seem quite cute together.
BUT: If you've been rooting for them to be a couple, brace yourseslves and be prepared to be let down because they're not together as of right now.
In an interview with ET Online, Jordan says," No, we're good friends. Honestly, we've known each other for a really long time and respect each other and I love this girl to death."
Did you catch that? He used the word LOVE, which means that the relationship might go beyond friends in the future.
Nyong'o, meanwhile, finds it flattering that so many of us want their chemistry to exist off-screen as well as on. However, she sees him as just a friend.
So although they're not together romantically, never say never.
For now, guess we'll have to just follow their adorable social media banter and wait for Black Panther 2!
