1. She was nervous about having the reduction.
I was scared that I wouldn’t feel sexy anymore, but it got to the point where I literally was in pain,” Rose told People. “It was almost as if I had like a heavy backpack on my chest.”
2. She's had breast issues from a young age.
"I got my boobs when I was 14, but I would say, over the years, as my weight fluctuated, my boobs fluctuated. And, so after I had my son, I mean, my boobs, they got bigger. They got way, way bigger. They definitely made me look older when I was a teenager, and also, I felt it made me look heavier as well because they were so big." She went on, "They weren't implants or anything like that, and so my back was hurting me. There was times I would just walk and just stop and ... it would kill me."
3. She said it affected her on Dancing With the Stars.
"My boobs slowed me down. And, my partner, [Maksim Chmerkovskiy], would be like, 'Come on! Hurry up, faster, faster, faster.' And I'm like, 'Dude, I can't go any faster! I'm, like, in pain. I literally cannot move that fast,'" she said. Finally, after struggling with breast pain for years, Rose came to the realization this was for the best. "This is more of, like, a health issue, where I have to get this done."
4. A Beverly Hills surgeons performed the surgery.
Rose turned to Beverly Hills–based plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher in January of this year. The goal was to take her from a 36H to a 36DDD in a surgery that took more than three hours.
5. Doctors say breast reduction is sometimes necessary.
Peter Taub, M.D., a professor of plastic and reconstructive surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai told Self that "having large, heavy breasts can definitely cause pain that radiates to the back, neck, and shoulders on a daily basis. And, although the recovery process will includes some discomfort, patients often begin to feel relief from their breast-related pain right after the procedure"
6. She got her cellulite zapped with her reduction.
“An update on my cellulite treatment that I got from Dr. Matlock; my legs are still really, really sore, my butt is really sore. The bruising and the swelling went down a lot, and once I feel up to moving around a bit more I’ll show you guys my legs and my butt,” she said on Sunday. “I’ll keep you guys posted, I love you guys. I’ve been online shopping, and getting my cute little shirts, and little strapless things, and I’m just so excited to be actually be able to wear an outfit without a huge bra,” she said.
7. She's already loving the results.
Rose told People that "it's like a dream come true" to be able to wear spaghetti-strap tops without feeling self-conscious.I’m still in the house recovering from my breast reduction surgery, and I just wanted to give you a little [update]. So I’m really just letting my hair grow, letting my eyebrows grow out, and just trying to rest and relax and recover. And also of course, I wanted to give you an update on my new boobs," Rose posted on an Instagram live video.
"Look how much smaller they are!” she continued. “I really went down a lot. So I don’t know if you guys know, but I was like a 36H, I was really, really big, and I think now I might just be a D-cup, which is really small for me I’ve been online shopping, and getting my cute little shirts, and little strapless things, and I’m just so excited to be actually be able to wear an outfit without a huge bra."
