Netflix and chill, anyone?

There's a reason we anxiously await the list of new movies and original programming on Netflix every month, we all want stream (and binge) the best shows and movies before anyone else. And this November, there are so many good shows and flicks coming, were not sure we'll be leaving the house much. 

With the beginning of the always hectic and fun holiday season imminent, Netflix is bringing a whole new slew of movies and shows for you watch when you need a break from your turkey cooking and Christmas shopping There's even a bunch of new Netflix Original Series for those who love the hits like Bloodline and Orange Is The New Black

The new programming will be available on the streaming service starting Nov. 1. And more will continue to add throughout the month.

We've got the full list of what's coming to Netflix in November ( and the exact dates they'll be released), but first, we discuss the best movies and shows you'll want to put in your queue ASAP: 

1. Casper (1995)— Nov. 1

The entire family will love this silly, not-so-scary ghost story, even if it's a day late for Halloween. The tale of a young girl, Kat (played by Christina Ricci) making friends with Casper the friendly ghost is full of mischief and fun. 

2. Men in Black (1997) — Nov. 1

This Will Smith classic alien movie is even funnier years later and will without a doubt make you want to re-watch Fresh Prince of Bel Air

3. Scary Movie (2000) — Nov. 1 

Perfect if you need a comedic cleansing from all the horror movie watching you did in October. 

4. Silent Hill (2006) — Nov. 1

But if you haven't gotten your scary movie fill, there's this creepy movie for you to watch. Based on a best-selling horror action game franchise by the same name, the film tells the story of Rose, a desperate mother who takes her adopted daughter to a faith healer in a town called Silent Hill and on the way the pair get in an accident and the daughter goes missing. That's when the real horror starts... 

5. Godless (2017 Neflix Original Series) — Nov. 22

This Netflix original series produced by Steven Soderbergh (Ocean’s Eleven, Logan Lucky) follows a gang of murderous men and a town full of women who must defend themselves when they're caught in their crossfire. While the limited production show may only have one season, who doesn't want to watch a group of strong, bad*ss women stand up to men who think they can walk in and take over? Added to the queue.

6. Alias Grace (2017 Netflix Original) — Nov. 3

This other Netflix original is based on Margaret Atwood's award-winning novel about a poor, young Irish immigrant who was convicted of murdering her employer. Netfix is releasing all six episodes on a Friday, so we knwo what our weekend plans are. Atwood also wrote the The Handsmaids Tale that inspired Hulu's hit series earlier this year. Her dystopian fiction feels all to real in 2017.

7. Charlotte's Web (2006) — Nov. 1

This classic children's movie is guaranteed to bring you all the throwback feels and is a great one to watch with any kiddos in your life. Don't forget to break out the tissues, the story of the literate spider (voiced by Julia Roberts) who saves a young pig from being butchered (literally) is still a tearjerker, no matter your age. 

8.  The Boss Baby (2017) — Nov. 22

This super cute animated film stars the voice of none other than Alec Baldwin, who of course would play a baby in a suit. Some would say he does the very same thing on SNL.

9. Chappie (2015) — Nov. 1 

This very strange, but sweet movie about Artificial Intelligence is violent and funny and sad at the same time. Starring Nev Patel and Hugh Jackman, Chappie tells the story of a robot stolen by two local gangsters played Ninja and Yolandi Visser of the eccentric music group Die Antwoord, who want to use him for their own nefarious purposes.

10. Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004)  — Nov. 13

I mean, who doesn't love a good Scooby-Doo movie? This live action version of our favorite childhood cartoons follows the shenanigans of Scooby-Doo and his pals Shaggy (Matthew Lillard), Velma (Linda Cardellini), Fred (Freddie Prinze Jr.) and Daphne (Sarah Michelle Gellar).

11. Marvel's "The Punisher" (2017 Netflix Original Series) — Nov. 17 

If you're looking for some action, the story of Frank Castle who fights crime as vigilante "the Punisher" (based off of a Marvel comic book character of the same name). He uncovers the truth about injustices that affect more than just his family. This hotly anticipated Netflix Original stars Jon Bernthal, who is reprising his role from the TV show Daredevil

12. She's Gotta Have It (2017 Netflix Original Series) — Nov. 23

This Netflix Original tells the story of an uncompromising young woman in her late 20s struggling to define herself and divide her time between her friends, her job — and her three lovers. This remake of the 1986 movie written, edited and directed by Spike Lee spans 6 episodes.
