Fingers crossed the wedding isn't red.

UPDATE: Kit Harington and Rose Leslie announced their engagement Wednesday in The Times of London newspaper. It read: "The engagement is announced between Kit, younger son of David and Deborah Harington of Worcestershire, and Rose, middle daughter of Sebastian and Candy Leslie of Aberdeenshire."

Breaking Game of Thrones love news, y'all!

First things first: did you know Kit Harington (fan favorite Jon Snow) has been dating Rose Leslie (who played Ygritte) for roughly forever?

If you are a true GoT nerd (who is depressed about the awfully long wait before the next season premieres), you probably did, and if you're also a little bit mischievous like yours truly, you've definitely imagined her saying "You know nothing, Jon Snow," every time the guy is unsuccessful in the bedroom.

Though, if Harington's love scenes on the show are anything to go by, that doesn't happen often.

The couple, to steal from Rihanna, found love in a hopeless place: on location in 2012, shooting the show in so much ice and cold that you can basically feel it through the TV screen.

Bring on the Ikea cloaks, y'all!

Now the internet is a buzz (as the internet tends to turn into a swarm of bees when it comes to celebrity relationships) with the rumor that the pair are officially engaged... that is if this report in the Sun is to be believed.

According to a really bad and nameless friend of the couple who is spilling all of their secrets: “Kit’s known for ages he’s wanted to marry Rose but he wanted them to get a house and settle down a bit first."

Kit Harington did reveal in an interview last year that the couple lived together, so it's not like this is a crazy-and-out-there development about the two if it winds up being confirmed by the couple themselves.

Other than sharing the fact that they live together both Kit and Rose have been quiet about their relationship. It's the kind of quiet that makes people even MORE curious about what's going on with the couple romantically, because we are, as a species, deeply nosy.

In fact, when Kit Harington appeared on The Late Late show with James Corden even the other guest was all "when are you putting a ring on it?" That other guest in question? Nicole Kidman.

Yeah. Even that didn't sway him, all Kit would reveal is that they are taking things step-by-step.

So, if they are going step-by-step and they haven't issued a denial after The Sun's article... it kind of makes sense that they would be engaged now, right? Met in 2012, moved in together, the timing totally adds up.

Also, what better time to plan a wedding then right after you're done shooting the final season of the TV show that made you famous and introduced you to each other? This is a GoT rumor I'm 100% on board with.

I mean, they bought a £1.75 million mansion in East Anglia together and they have been dating for 5 years.

You don't spend millions of dollars (or pounds, whatevs) on property with someone who you don't plan on spending your life with, at least in theory.

Also worth mentioning - that house they bought together? IT LEGITIMATELY HAS A MOAT and Kit Harington insisted that Rose really do whatever she wanted to make it her own, thus furthering my belief that he really is an actual prince.

Rose Leslie is from Scotland and when rumors about an engagement between the two first surfaced in July (and was promptly shut down by their reps) a friend of hers revealed that Rose dreams of a traditional Scottish wedding complete with kilts and bagpipes.

Luckily she's dating a man who is just romantic enough to give her that wedding.

When the pair walked the red carpet for the Season 7 premiere of the show this year Kit Harington said, "I think that's the really special thing about it is that we met on this show and here we are seven years down the line back here promoting season seven."

If that doesn't translate into wedding bells, I don't know what does.
