5 Ways Tumblr Porn Can Revolutionize Your Sex Life

weheartit For the last 11 months, I have been in a relationship that has always involved some degree of distance between my partner (you know him as “the cute boy”) and I. First, we lived about 90 minutes apart and his job would keep him traveling for weeks at a time. Then that job ended and he moved to a place that is 3 hours away. This is not awesome.
What is awesome. though, is that this is the most amazing relationship of my life and involves having really incredible sex. Like, consistently awesome sex that just keeps getting better.

Early in our relationship, I was hanging out with my friend, Elle Chase (the woman behind Lady Cheeky), and we were talking about something she had posted on her (amazing) site. It struck me how hot it was and I emailed the image to the cute boy — and a sexy habit was born.
We would both scour Tumblr and email each other images we liked. When I was on a long business trip I sent him an entire story in Tumblr porn (“We would start here ... Then this would happen …”).
Over time we refined our technique and today we have our own Tumblr account we both have the login info for where we follow a bunch of our favorite porn blogs and reblog things for each other to see.
Now, why is this so great? I believe it has made our sex life better!
So I’ve put together this list of 5 ways Tumblr porn can help to maintain — or even, yes I said it, revolutionize — your sex life.
1. It provides inspiration.
Tumblr is like Pinterest for sex — all sorts of things you want to try that will most likely look nothing like the picture, but that you will get super-excited about and maybe even find a new favorite by trying.
2. It provides a means of communication.
I’m a big fan of communication between partners, but I know sometimes when there’s something you want to try or kink you have it can be daunting to say it out loud to a new partner.
You know what is way less scary?
Sending them a picture of hot, naked strangers doing the thing you are thinking about!
Additionally, visual communication can make what you are saying click for your partner in a way that words sometimes can’t. My partner once sent me a picture of something that, I will be honest, had he just said in words I would have been wary, but seeing it made me go, “Oh, that’s what that would be like ... Got it!”

There is a limited selection. The images do tend to be primarily thin, white, hetero couples or groups. This may be the particular sites we follow but it is something I’ve noticed.
Images of pegging or prostate stimulation are rare in pictures with the aesthetic we like (i.e., tasteful). We keep finding ones with people mugging for the camera while their hand is in someone’s butt. Not our bag.

There are a couple of reasons for this:

- Sheer volume
- Aesthetic, i.e, well photographed, sexy images. It’s my thing and Tumblr is where I found the most of it.
