Booze and ice cream, a match made in heaven.
One of the things about becoming an adult is that you can't overly indulge yourself. You have to show some discipline, especially when it comes to guilty pleasures. You can't eat or drink to excess every night or you'll pay the price.
But you don't want to be too strict with yourself and miss out on some of the pleasures life has to offer. So we have cheat days when we allow ourselves to go off our diets, or we limit our treats.
You can have ice cream or you can have a cocktail, but you generally can't have both... that is, until now.
You might not know by looking it that there's booze in this ice cream.
According to their website, the folks at Tipsy Scoop come from a long line of ice cream makers; in fact, their ancestors brought ice cream to Scotland from Pisinisco, Italy. The family ice cream tradition grew until they had opened ice cream shops throughout Scotland and England.
"Following in the ice cream tradition, I began to experiment with putting a modern boozy twist on ice cream," writes Melissa Tavss, the scoop sommelier.
The flavor combinations are incredible at Tipsy Scoop and include delectable flavors such as Spiked S'more, Tequila Mexican "Hot" Chocolate, Red Velvet Martini, Maple Bacon Bourbon, and Rasberry Limoncello Sorbet.
And Tipsy Scoop's frozen deliciousness doesn't stop there; you can also get it in ice cream sandwiches and boozy cakes. Since all flavors are 5 percent alcohol by volume, they can only be consumed by those 21 and over, making it an adults-only treat.
You can purchase Tipsy Scoop products at a few locations in New York City and they'll also ship inside NYC. If you live outside the New York City area, you can order it on Goldbelly. You can get four pints for $89, the Boozy Favorites Collection of 6 flavors for $109, the ice cream sandwich 12-pack for $99, or the Boozy Backyard BBQ ice cream 12-pack for $89.
While these ice creams aren't exactly cheap, isn't your happiness and joy worth it? Make any day worth celebrating with Tipsy Scoop.
