Porn used to be a woman's guilty little secret. They watched it privately and pretended to their friends that they found porn boring and degrading (but to be fair, much of it is.)
But the truth is that women watch porn. Although many women still don't like to discuss it, half of adult women (age 18 to 26) agree that watching porn is an acceptable way of expressing one's sexuality.
According to a recent Pornhub study in conjunction with The Daily Beast, the top three porn categories women search for are lesbian porn, threesomes, and squirting.
LadyCheeky's Smut for Smarties was recently rated the number one porn site for women. Even Cosmopolitan says, "There are sexy quotes, black and white photos (very artsy, so you'll feel 80 percent less pervy), and super hot GIFs capturing the exact moments of great sex."
The woman behind Lady Cheeky is sex educator and coach, Elle Chase.
"I started my site to get in touch with my own fantasies and real-life sexuality. What makes Lady Cheeky unique is that it features a variety of body types, races, passions, and relationships.
The accessibility and over-saturation of mainstream porn on the internet has inured viewers and left them less satisfied. I believe that deep down, what we all respond to is authenticity," Chase said via email. "Consumers have gotten more sophisticated in the past 20 years and in my opinion, can tell what's real and what's an act."
You don't need to be a lesbian to get aroused by watching two women.
Chase says, "In a busy world of instant gratification and immediacy of content, what people inherently respond to is intimacy, desire and authenticity. In other words ... raw sensuality."
