Fifty Shades Of Grey is responsible for a lot of things, from divorces to a rise in rope sales. But did you also know it's also the reason you're more satisfied in bed? According to a new survey from LELO, a luxury sex toy brand, Christian Grey may be the reason you've been killing it in the sack.

Since 2009, LELO has been carrying out an annual global survey, and this year almost 50,000 people from over 30 countries took part. What they found is that in the past five years, people are talking about sex, sex toys and their desires more than ever before. Why the increase in sexual confidence? The company says it's all part of the 50 Shades effect.

"In the past 5 years, there has been a significant change in how we communicate about sex," says Steve Thomson, LELO Head of Marketing. "The taboo is finally dead. 50 Shades played a huge role in exposing the masses to a thriving subculture of vibrant sexuality, of embracing one's most secret desires.

As for what we can expect this next year? Well, according to Thomson, it's about to get even hotter. "2015 is the year that it will finally come to a head: the lid is about to blow off the box of the taboo."
