When planning a destination for a first date, it is often easy to fall into the reliable routine of a coffee shop. Or a movie. Or a moderately priced dinner. You know, clichés.
However, if you are looking for something a little more unique, here are 5 of the best first date ideas that are atypical, but totally fun. Plus, they'll help you make an entertaining and unforgettable first impression.
1. Tantalize your taste buds with some alternative cuisine.
George Bernard Shaw once wrote, “There is no love sincerer than the love of food." Therefore, what greater way to start a relationship than by introducing your date to a new type of cuisine?
If you have a particular ethnic cuisine that you enjoy, or if you have an all time favorite restaurant, why not introduce it to your date? You may find you share a common gastronomic interest.
Alternatively, if you are looking to discover a new cuisine together, you can search for a wide range of alternative restaurants on online food guides. By doing so, you can locate the perfect place to base your first date and share your food interests with a new partner.
2. Break the ice with an arcade excursion.
It's always great to have something to do on a first date, so why not share your love of gaming with a trip to the arcade? The 80s might be over, but there's been a modern resurgence of retro arcades, gaming bars, or even just your local Dave and Buster's.
