'Breaking Bad's Aaron Paul Waited Until Marriage ... To What?
We're so in love with him ... and he's so head-over-heels for her.
Aaron Paul and Lauren Parsekian continued their streak of most-in-love Hollywood couple at this past weekend's Emmy Awards. But during a red carpet interview, the couple shared a surprising secret about their marriage: they waited until exchanging vows to live together.
The two tied the knot last May in a Parisian-themed Malibu wedding, which Aaron described to People as "the greatest experience of my entire life, and she's still with me, which is just fantastic. Four months strong. Marriage is easy." For the couple, who met at Coachella, married life is also a chance to learn more about each other.
While the new normal for couples these days may be living together prior to marriage, Aaron and Lauren chose to wait. "We wanted something to look forward to," Aaron explained. "Being roommates with her is the best." Based on Aaron's reaction, the move (or rather, waiting to move) paid off!
The Breaking Bad star continued to gush about his new bride (and earn his 'Perfect Husband' title): "Let me tell you, my friend, I will be in the honeymoon phase until I leave this planet. Getting married to Lauren was the greatest accomplishment of my life. I will be forever grateful."
Though Aaron didn't go home with an Emmy on Sunday for playing Jesse Pinkman, the show walked away with top honors receiving the Best Drama award. Breaking Bad, which has proven just as addictive as the meth its characters cook, airs its final episode this Sunday. Is your DVR ready?
