Stevie Wonder is headed toward his second divorce. The singer/songwriter and legendary Motown artist has filed for divorce from his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kai Millard Morris. The couple has been separated for almost three years, and it was only recently that Stevie made the proactive decision to actually file the divorce papers and make it official. 10 Biggest Celebrity Divorces Of 2010
According to The Huffington Post, Stevie filed the papers in Los Angeles, citing "irreconcilable differences" as their reason for the split. The document also states that Stevie (whose legal name is Stevland Morris) and Kai have been separated since October 2009.
The couple married back in 2001 and have two children together. In the fine print of the divorce papers, Stevie has agreed to pay Kai for spousal support in addition to child support for Kailand, 10, and Mandla, 7, though he does ask for joint custody. The singer has five other children with two different women.
He was also married once before to Syreeta Wright – their union ended in divorce after two years, with no children.
