After Mumford & Sons frontman Marcus Mumford tied the knot with girlfriend Carey Mulligan last week in a romantic English countryside wedding, we've had our eyes peeled for the next great rock n' roll love story. After just several months of dating—in true rocker fashion—25-year-old Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill got engaged to 21-year-old model girlfriend Martha Patterson on April 11, according to E! Online. Reportedly, Followill popped the question at his home in Nashville. She said yes, and the bicoastal couple plans to split their time between Nashville and Los Angeles.

According to Just Jared, the engagement ring is composed of a 4-carat cushion-cut diamond that Followill designed himself (photos here!). Although the couple had been keeping their relationship hush-hush, Patterson was spotted with the sparkling ring on her left hand at Coachella last month.
Prior to his relationship with Patterson, Followill was rumored to have dated Twilight bombshell Ashley Greene in 2011, just after she split from pop star Joe Jonas. He was reportedly also "text flirting" with pop songtress Miley Cyrus last year.
Now, Followill will join his bandmates in trading in the excitement of touring for some old-fashioned domestic bliss. His cousin, lead guitarist Matthew Followill, just celebrated his baby boy, Knox's first birthday last month with wife Johana Bennett. And, we know lead singer Caleb Followill (Jared's brother) just married Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge last May, and now have a baby on the way. Congrats to the whole band and the newly engaged couple!
