A famous male celebrity is being sued for $20 million after reportedly giving herpes to a lover.
Even when sleeping with a famous person, you should always wear a condom! That is the lesson learned for a plantiff who is suing a male celebrity for allegedly spreading the herpes virus.
According to TMZ, the so-far anonymous plaintiff (who is, interestingly, not specified as being a man or a woman) met a male, internationally known celebrity, worth over $100 million, in Las Vegas this past April and was supposedly lured back to his hotel room in a "nefarious plot."
The celeb, who is also not named in the suit, reportedly told him/her that he didn't have any STDs, before they engaged in "mutual oral copulation, mutual self-gratification, rubbing and massaging each other, play-wrestling, licking and (unprotected) intercourse."
In the lawsuit, the plaintiff is alleging that the celebrity did, in fact, know that he had herpes but lied to the plaintiff, who is now suing for $20 million in damages.
The kicker to this story? All of their escapades were reportedly video-taped, and, now, several porn companies are already offering to buy the footage for as much as $1 million. (Celebrity sex tapes are a big business, after all...Just ask Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian.)
So, the plaintiff could end up with $21 million, if he/she wins the case...but he/she will still have herpes, which is so-far not curable.
CelebLovers, do you think the plaintiff is justified in suing the celeb for $20 million, or should he or she have known better than to have unprotected sex with a stranger, albeit a famous one.
