Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller Finalize Divorce

In what must be a joyous occasion for both, and perhaps a sad event for all tabloids, NYDailyNews.com reported that Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller have finalized their divorce.

The divorce was made official Monday, six months after the initial divorce petition was filed. Looking back, the couple has behaved less than ideally. First, Charlie assaulted Brooke during a Christmas vacation in Aspen, Colorado in 2009 Brooke Mueller Moves Out On Charlie Sheen. Then, throughout the past six months or so, Charlie and Brooke have both been in and out of rehab for their alcohol and drug addiction. Finally, whether out of fatherly love or hatred towards his now ex-wife, Charlie made a point to take Brooke to court for full custody of their two-year-old twin boys when he heard that she had started taking drugs again Charlie Sheen: The Bizarre Relationship Timeline Of His Love Life.

Thankfully for the couple's children, both Charlie and Brooke have agreed to take random drug tests as part of their divorce agreement, and Mueller will receive $55,000 a month in child support. According to UPI.com, the couple will share custody of their children, with Brooke maintaining physical custody and Charlie receiving visitation rights. 

The agreement also states that Brooke will receive a one time sum of $757,698.70. In addition, she was granted $1 million, and in exchange Charlie will get to keep his home in Los Angeles where he lives with his "goddesses," or rather "goddess" (Rachel Oberlin recently moved out,  leaving him with only model Nataly Kenly to entertain him) 6 Things You Don't Know About Charlie Sheen.

But at least in Charlie's divorces, all's fair in child support. His divorce settlement states that, "under no circumstances shall the child support paid by Charlie for Bob and Max be less than the child support paid by Charlie to Sheen's ex-wife Denise Richards for daughters Sam and Lola."

And you thought there was no upside to marrying him.
