Singer Monica Is Engaged To A Laker

We can think of no better way to confirm an engagement than with a close up twitpic of a huge sparkling rock on your finger. The 29-year-old singer Monica took the not-so-subtle approach and used Twitter to show the world the large diamond ring 24-year-old L.A. Laker, Shannon Brown, proposed with last weekend.  

The couple have only been dating since over the summer, when they met when he played the love interest in the video for her song "Love All Over Me." But if you take a page from the Laker playbook, it seems this might just be how they roll. I has appeared to work for Khloe Kardashian and Brown's teammate Lamar Odom. Is Khloe Kardashian's Marriage A Lie?  

But Monica may have a little more baggage than Khloe. She just broke of another engagement several months ago to her longtime beau Rodney "Rocko" Hill, whom she has two young sons with. Even so, congrats to the couple! We would love to see the boys rocking little Laker jerseys on the sidelines one day. Do you think she will sing "The Boy is Mine" at their wedding?
