Confused or Conflicted?

Bah, he's confusing the hell out of me again. I knew that originally he wanted to be friends with benefits, but after we both thought about it for a week, we agree to be friends without benefits. Hey that works for me, since it was a mutual decision. He decided that it would be better that way since we wouldn't be rushing into anything quickly, and risk complicating things down the line. So, after me having another bad day I text him, and a few other friends saying that I need a hug. He tells me that everything is going to be okay, and to not worry. That's all fine. Somehow we start texting each other about meeting up, and spend some time working off some stress. I know where this is going, and I'm game for it. I call him, and somehow "working-off the stress" does not enter our conversation, knowing fully well that we both want it.

I don't know what to think, do, or how to interpret this once again.
