I've been in this situation, except I was the guy and my boyfriend was the girl.
I swing dance for fun. That's what I do, and I was doing it for years before I met my boyfriend (now ex). I would ask him to come with me, and he came once, but wasn't that into it, which is fine.
Well, you can't swing dance without a partner. My boyfriend started getting all ridiculous about every guy I danced with thinking I was cheating on him with them. It was preposterous.
Ugh, glad he's your ex. I used to go to swing dancing clubs and it was mainly the older men (60s) who asked you to dance. It was fun. Sure you got hit on every once in a while but if the dude can't trust you to swing dance, which like Q said is not very sexual at all, how can he even let you rout of the house?
Wow, I used to swing dance to (east coast) and its really hard to be "sexual" in any way while swing dancing. Sounds like your ex was pretty insecure to start with, or atleast had no concept of partner dancing and the joys of finding a really good lead/follow to dance with!
