Everybody gains, or loses, weight at some point. Also, it is a widely known fact that muscle weighs much more than fat. So the actual number on the scale only matters if you fall out of your normal spectrum (this all depends on how tall you are, ex. 5'8 low= 118 high= 150). Staying within the normal spectrum of your height and weight is crucial to leading a healthy lifestyle. However, what really matters is your BMI, or your Body Mass Index, which is your ratio for muscle to body fat. A healthy woman should have anywhere from 20% to 30% body fat. And naturally, if you work out, you will lose a small amount of weight, and it will be fat weight, but if you work out and eat right, you may lose or gain weight. But DO NOT worry, if you gain weight while maintaining a healthy and regular diet and exercise schedule, then the weight that you put on is muscle. Many men look for a healthy looking woman who is TONED, not beefed, not chubby, and NOT pin thin. For about 95% of the women in the world, being pin thin is not in their genetic encoding, so it is impossible for them to become pin thin without becoming extremely unhealthy, this is how serious eating disorders develop, and this can lead to SERIOUS health problems later in life, such as organ failure, brain deterioration and bones becoming brittle. So, in the end, look at your BMI, the weight on the scale can be unnerving at times, as well as comforting, but it is also misleading, men want a healthy toned woman, not a sickly stick thin girl. Remember, real women have curves.
