Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo Splitting?

As many celebrity couples have discovered, money and career issues are the fastest way to cause problems in a relationship. Rumor has it that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are on the rocks because of this reason. The singer and ex-husband of Jessica Simpson is having a tough time with his career: a recent album release hasn’t cracked the pop charts and an MTV reality show isn’t doing any better Rumor has it he believes Minnillo is to blame and his friends agree, telling him that for a huge mainstream comeback he needs to dump her. A source close to Lachey says the couple “are on the rocks big time. They argue all the time, and Nick is done with her. He feels like she’s holding him back, careerwise.”
Evidently things have been rocky for a while, with Lachey seen chasing an angry Minnillo out of a restaurant a little while ago, doggie bag in hand. Even though the two have been putting on a brave face dining out since the incident and kissing in public, another source says, “We’re just not sure if we believe that anymore. The relationship has been over for a while, but he’s too nice a guy to end things completely.”

Reps for both Minnillo and Lachey deny that there are any woes in the relationship but if this is true it sounds Lachey might be planning to pack up what’s left of him and move on.
