Owning a DVR, such as TiVo, can actually help free up time and reduce some unnecessary arguments with your spouse. CNET reports that couples who record their TV shows are happier than those who don't!

I don't think it's fair to look at a DVR as a marriage issue. I bet that if you asked single people whether they were happier with or without a DVR, it'd be the same skew as married couples.

I think Tivo definitely cuts down on remote-control arguments, but does it really cut down on how much time we spend in front of the tv? I don't think so!
