Lesli Doares is a passionate believer in marriage, but marriage done right. Her belief in the possibility for committed, thriving marriages has led Lesli on a mission to identify and deliver practical solutions to help couples create those successful relationships by design.  After professional study and a marriage nearing the quarter century mark, she thinks she’s found the answer. It’s been an honor to share this with her clients and help them discover the deep connection marriage affords. Since 2002, couples and individuals have been coming to her to learn how to make their relationship dreams come true. Lesli is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently in private practice. Her focus on helping couples build strong, secure relationships led her to create a five step approach they can use to build their ideal marriage. Lesli has appeared as a guest expert on radio and television programs, as well as being quoted in articles in print and online, promoting the positive aspects of marriage.. She and her husband live near Raleigh, North Carolina and have two children.
 

The Reason I Became A Helping Professional

Lesli knows the pain of divorce first-hand after watching her parents' marriage fall apart during her formative years.  Having overcome the legacy of divorce in her own family, she  will be the first to tell you that “happily ever after” is possible.  It is this unwavering belief in the possibility of marriage that led to her work with couples.  Lesli’s passion is for creating happy, successful marriages and reducing the chance of divorce. She is gifted at understanding and explaining the dynamics of relationships in a way that enables her clients to see the possibilities for their marriage, no matter how discouraged or hopeless they may be.
