What we do today, right now, will have an accumulated effect on all of our tomorrows.
About Sheryl Ziegler
I have a Doctorate in Psychology, have been a Clinical Director of a Residential Treatment Facility for Children and have successfully founded a group private practice, The Child and Family Therapy Center at Lowry in Denver, Colorado. Over the past several years I have held consulting positions, one at CereScan, a neuroimaging company and one at a community mental health center. I sit on the board of directors at Mount Saint Vincent’s Home for Children. I have been an adjunct professor for Doctoral Students in Play Therapy at The University of Northern Colorado. Last year, I co-founded Start with the Talk (trademark pending) which is a mother-daughter series on the tween years. I use humor to educate girls and their mothers on puberty, menstruation, middle school, social/emotional functioning and bullying. I am also a Fox News contributor, I have been featured an average of once to twice a month for the past five years. On radio, I have been featured as a subject matter expert to topics related to parenting. In print, I have been interviewed for Health and Wellness magazine and in the Denver Post for front page investigational series pieces- all pertaining to mental health issues that pertain to children. Earlier this year, I was featured on the Katie Couric Show as a result of being quoted in a Denver Post article that ran about the Legalization of Marijuana. Since then, I have been asked to present at a mental health summit and asked to participate on the Governor’s panel for educating 12-15 year old kids on the effects of marijuana. This resulted in the production of a video and subsequent multi-million dollar educational campaign effort.
