About Lynn Zakeri
I am a wife, mother, daughter and clinical therapist. I worked in the school system as a School Social Worker for over ten years, and enjoy a full time private practice in Northfield and Skokie, Illinois.
After graduating from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, I received my MSW from the Jane Adams College of Social Work. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and I have experience with children, adolescents, adults and families. My style is practical, and focuses a lot on coping mechanisms and strategies. I have had success working with past and present clients on issues such as anxiety, depression, work ethics/motivation, young adult goal setting, self esteem, anger, family dysfunction (present or past), marital therapy, new mom stress, social skills, ADHD, conduct disorder, school issues… I enjoys assisting in the progress and achievement of attaining goals.
I also run "Transition to College" groups, social skills groups, and present on topics such as "The Price of Popularity", "Overweight Adolescents and Self- Esteem" as well as the "Transition to College".
I will meet you where you are, and help you move forward and problem solve successfully. I connect well with my clients; men, women, teens and children and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns. From the first call, I will put you at ease and make it easier.
