Hi -- I'm Deborah Roth and I'd  love to help YOU create work that you love and love that works! I'm a Spiritual Whole Life Coach who works primarily with overwhelmed, under-nurtured women (and a few good men), guiding them through all kinds of life and career transitions so that they can make big changes in their lives and a lasting difference in the world. I offer lots of powerful, structured programs for groups and individuals, and speak, teach, and write on the subjects of women’s empowerment, radical self-care, conscious relationships, managing life’s big changes… to name a few.

In addition, as a licensed Inter-faith Minister, I love creating unique, powerful wedding ceremonies and was the only wedding officiant on Modern Bride’s list of “Top 25 Trendsetters in the Wedding Industry”, as well as serving on their Advisory Board. My Master’s thesis explored the power of transformative ritual, so I'm also passionate about designing creative, meaningful rituals for individuals and families wishing to mark other important life passages as well, including baby blessings, Coming of Age ceremonies for teenage girls, and “Croning” rituals for vibrant older women.

For the past 15 years, I've facilitated monthly New Moon SisterCircles, Full Moon TeleMeditations (over the phone) and a year-long Women’s Spirituality program. I've written two books – The Authentic Woman PlayBook, and Circle of One: the Art of becoming a Self-centered Woman, and am a Founding Coach for Empower Parties™ and for Purpose Journey™.

I've been featured in the New York Times, New York Newsday, Modern Bride, Seventeen Magazine, and Utne magazine, as well as appearing on The Learning Channel's (TLC), A Wedding Story, the documentary, Potential Partners, and on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

I've been married to the same fabulous guy for over 30 years and we've raised two incredible, feisty "city boys" (now in their mid-20s), which means I've had ongoing “on-the-job” parenting experience as well as navigating the ebbs and flows of maintaining and nurturing a successful, long-term relationship. I've supported hundreds of singles to attract their ideal partners, and couples to create and sustain passionate, fulfilling life partnerships.

And in my "spare" time, I practice vinyasa yoga daily, sing in a terrific, small women's chorus, am on the board of my community garden, and have produced 3 successful benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues, raising more than $35,000 for VDAY.org, to end violence against women and girls around the world. The Reason I Became A Helping Professional

I knew from the time I was in high school that I wanted to support people in their self growth and personal development. I was a Psych major in college, then grappled for many years after college about whether I wanted to become a therapist, but that didn't feel quite right. It wasn't until I left the corporate world and was working on my Master's degree in Psychology in 1996 (still not sure exactly what I'd be doing with it) that I learned about coaching. That was a major "aha", realizing that I wanted to work with people in designing and moving toward their future, rather than healing their past wounds, which of course, is the powerful work of therapy. It also became clear to me that I really wanted to incorporate spiritual self-discovery into my work and I became an Interfaith Minister soon after graduating. I launched my practice as a life and career transition coach in 1998 and a few years later, completed my relationship coaching training through the Relationship Coaching Institute.  It all fits now!
