But don't get your hopes up for anything too risque: In the photo, Dornan, as Grey, wears a leather jacket and is driving with a rather intense look in his eyes. He's not naked in the Red Room Of Pain or the playroom or pulling tampons out of virginal college graduates who don't know how to use computers.
What, that's what you wanted, isn't it?
The photo is likely Focus Features' way of temporarily satiating 50 Shades fans who are (sexually) frustrated with the lack of a trailer for the BDSM-friendly flick, reportedly the result of new MPAA rules. (The trailer is expected to finally come out sometime in September.)
We've seen other shots of Dornan in costume as Grey, including sprinting in sweats and meeting with Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele at a cafe as well as at the hardware store where Ana's character worked briefly. Other glimpses of the Fifty Shades Of Grey movie included EL James' Instagrams of cable ties, a playroom key and Grey Enterprises' helicopter, Charlie Tango.
Truthfully, this photo isn't the most exciting considering the tawdry source material, but maybe that's the point: If your expectations are low, you won't be disappointed with the possibly toned down R-rating that the actual Fifty Shades Of Grey movie gets. (In which case, there's always the NC-17 option when they Blu-Ray comes out, right?)
