Royal Baby Watch: Is Kate Middleton Overdue?
Any day now, little one. Any day now.

UPDATE: Us Weekly reports that Kate and Prince William—and police escorts—left her parents' home in Bucklebury today around 3 p.m. local time for London! It's unknown if the royal couple is headed to St. Mary's Hospital or returning to their Kensington Palace home.

Royal baby watch is still very much underway as Kate's much speculated due date of July 13 has come and gone. Like the rest of us commoners, Queen Elizabeth II has a message for her great-grandroyal: let's go already, kid.

This week on a visit to northern England, the Queen was asked whether she's hoping for a boy or a girl. "I don't think I mind," she answered. "I would very much like it to arrive. I'm going on holiday." And the future Prince or Princess of Cambridge best not mess up those plans.

Aside from keeping the due date on the down-low, the palace has also managed to go a full nine months (and counting!) without spilling the beans on the sex. Many sources revealed that Kate and William did not wish to know the gender beforehand in favor of a global surprise.

And since news of Kate's pregnancy broke last December, the Internet has been overrun with excited royal fans playing the baby name game. The top contenders? Alexandra for a princess, and George for a prince.

The Duchess of Cambridge will give birth (any day now) at the private Lindo wing of St. Mary's Hospital in London. Once Kate is admitted to the hospital for delivery, there will be an official announcement in the media, followed by another once the prince or princess has arrived.

Next, celebratory gun salutes will be sounded by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery in Green Park and the Honorable Artillery Company at the Tower of London to welcome the future heir to the world. Any non-royal baby lucky enough to share the same birth day will receive a special coin from the Royal Mint: a silver penny, dated 2013, that will come in a blue pouch for a boy or a pink one for a girl.

Alright, royal baby, your move.
