Sr. VP Melanie Gorman knows her stuff.

We've already established that the YourTango staff is made up of a bunch of multitasking workaholics. And it's no different when it comes to our Senior VP, Melanie Gorman. In fact, Gorman is so well-rounded—and has such an amazing background in the mental health field—that we've also placed her in charge of our newest project for relationship professionals: YourTango Experts.

As the name implies, YourTango Experts links relationship and dating experts with YourTango readers who are looking for advice. This service also serves as both a marketing and content package for mental health professionals who want to build their businesses and make a name for themselves on the web.

So why is Melanie the best woman for the job? A graduate of the University of Maryland (B.A. Psychology/minor Women’s Studies) and Lewis and Clark College (M.A. Counseling Psychology, with a specialization in adult psychopathology), Melanie worked for several years as a relationship counselor, working extensively with singles and helping them to learn how to date successfully. Over the past decade, as the profession of "relationship coach" grew in popularity, Melanie pursued work with Dr. John Gray, author of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus, and co-created the Ask MarsVenus Relationship Coaching program.

Melanie joined the YourTango team in 2008 after working for ten years with the MarsVenus organization. Her love of complex problems, coupled with her understanding of the human condition, has helped her to thrive in the competitive environment of online advice.

On a personal note, when she’s not helping people with their love lives, Melanie divides her time between being a mom to little Oliver and a wife to her superstar husband, Matt. If you'd like to harass her, you can email her here. If you'd like to read some of her expert advice, voila:
