In an interview with The Associated Press, the 32-year-old songstress sympathizes with the throngs of chicas out there who haven't been as lucky as she has when it comes to finding Mr. Right. In fact, she wrote most of She Wolf's songs to reflect the struggles that single women face looking for love in a time when it seems that "all the good ones are taken." That frustration is best illustrated in the track, "Men in This Town," with humorous, honest lyrics like, "Is there a prince in this fable for a small town girl like me? / The good ones are gone or not able, and Matt Damon's not meant for me."

"Did It Again," on the other hand, tells the all-too-familiar story of a girl who can't let go of a toxic boyfriend and keeps kicking herself for constantly repeating the same mistakes. Why Do Smart Women Settle For Mr. Wrong?

Shakira describes the album as a long "urban tale" about the search for Prince Charming and sums up its overriding theme:

It's tough to date, to be out there...It's very much a common thing for women my age, at least my friends, to be in search for the right man and to be somehow dreaming of the prince who's going to come in and rescue them. Some of these songs either reveal my own daydreams or fantasies, but some of them have to do with my girlfriends' experiences and things that they go through.

Looks like Beyoncé better move over—there's a new patron saint of single ladies in town. Viva Shakira!
