Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel's two-and-a-half-year romance has been under scrutiny lately, with the tiny-hat-wearing singer rumored to be dating Rihanna in New York and living it up in Vegas while his erstwhile girlfriend works in Vancouver (noted hotbed of downlow movie-star shagging). Even Justin's grandma weighed in to throw cold water on the relationship. But now sources say Justin paid a visit to Jessica in British Columbia, and at a showing of Where the Wild Things Are, they seemed happy and together. What's the real story?

Hollyscoop reports that Justin flew to Vancouver yesterday to take Jessica to the movies, a couple of days after he was in Las Vegas hosting a charity golf tournament and concert. His mom, Lynn Harless, told the press that the couple is still together and that she likes Jessica, who she says is good for her son. "He's found someone that'll golf with him, give him a hard time when he deserves it and stand up to him," she said. How To Get Along With His Mom

And it seems that Justin's man friends are on Mom's side as well. The entertainment blog Fox411 reported that Justin's bros are in a collective totally manly snit at him for splitting with Jessica. "Justin's friends are usually all about anything he wants, but in this case, his boys are totally disappointed in him," a source says. "They think he's making a big mistake—she is one of the best things that ever happened to him." So it was Jessica who brought sexy back?!

In this matter, we are feeling quite Swiss, but we kind of think that Justin's mom and his boys are a little deluded. He has a pretty well-established track record of serial monogamy, and his relationships tend to top out at a couple of years: He was with Britney Spears for about three years and Cameron Diaz for almost four. Maybe this is just the end. Or maybe he'll freak out when he turns 29 in January and beg Jessica to take him back and carry his tiny-hat-wearing babies. One of those two things.
