This morning TLC announced that John would no longer be appearing in Jon & Kate Plus 8, and that the show will be renamed Kate Plus 8, according to People. At least it still rhymes. On November 2, we'll no longer be seeing the male half of the troubled Gosselin couple on TV. Except, maybe we will… Jon may be soon showing off his people skills in a talk show—he's reportedly taped a pilot costarring Paula Deen, Food Network star. 

Whether or not Jon appears on the boob tube with estranged wife Kate, the couple's problems will continue. You can't erase marriage issues by turning off the TV. (Although that may help, in some instances.) How TV Is Ruining Your Sex Life

Kate Plus 8 will focus on Kate's life as a single mother—a topic ripe for reality TV exploration. Jon will continue to appear on the show occasionally.

Will Kate start to date? Will she find another mate? To find out, we'll have to wait. (Sorry we couldn't help ourselves—don't hate.)
