Drew Barrymore: I've Stopped Believing In Love

Drew Barrymore tells Parade magazine that happy endings aren't the end-all, be-all.

The line may have a Jennifer Aniston twang to it, but  Drew Barrymore tells this week's Parade magazine that there's more to life than searching for love. "I've stopped believing in happy endings," Drew says in an interview with Parade.
Twice married (and divorced) Drew, 34, says romance is no longer the priority on her radar. "Sexual love is secondary to me right now. I've spent a lot of time in my life dedicating myself to love or the pursuit of love or the understanding of love. But for the last few years, my life just hasn't been about that for me." YourTango: Why Am I Still Single?
Really, she says, life is not all about finding the one. Drew reveals that when she stopped living in hunt of the perfect partner, her quality of life improved. "I've started believing in good days," she says, because life is what it is. Drew says her new movie Whip It, which she directed, is a good example of the power of feminine resilience. "At the end of my movie, there's honesty. There's truth. There's peace. What tomorrow will bring is still in question. There is a joy that's earned by failure or triumph. All those things add up to teach us, if we are open to it."
