LONDON (AFP) - Hollywood actress Michelle Pfeiffer's bet with George Clooney that he will never marry again currently stands at 100,000 dollars (49,000 pounds, 71,000 euros), she said in an interview to be shown Friday.
"I bet him he would get married and he keeps inflating the bet from 100 dollars to 100,000 dollars," Pfeiffer told the Tonight with Jonathan Ross programme on BBC television.
"I still think he will, he's a handsome devil."
Clooney, 46, is one of Hollywood's leading men and most eligible bachelors who is currently on screen in Britain in the film "Michael Clayton".
We wonder if the motorcycle wreck that he got into may have gotten him and his lady friend a little closer. We’re not sure if she’s his lady friend or his special lady, but we’ve seen a lot more of her since the accident. Is Sarah Larson employing the second oldest trick in the book (slightly less famous than getting pregnant)? We doubt it, but wouldn’t you pretend to be more hurt than you are to get some extra Tender, Loving Clooney? Thought so.
Brad Pitt thinks that Clooney should run for president. I hope that when he gets married he gives Michelle Pfeiffer one of those huge novelty checks.
