Is Olivia Newton-John dying? The world was shocked this week by reports that actress Olivia Newton-John is dying of cancer. The Grease star has been successfully treated for the disease in the past and she was optimistic about the latest recurrence.

But new reports suggest she’s not doing well and she’s fighting to stay alive until 2019 to see her daughter get married. The singer has lost both her father and sister to cancer in the past and her own struggles with cancer have people around her concerned about her future.

1. Breast cancer

In 1992, the Xanadu star found a lump in her breast. At the time, she opted for a modified mastectomy followed by constructive surgery. The treatment was successful and she remained cancer free for many years. 2. Recurrence

In 2013, Newton-John was in a car accident. Afterward, she noticed a lump on her shoulder that she thought was an injury related to the accident but doctors discovered  it was cancer once again. At the time, she decided not to be public about her diagnosis and treatment. When she revealed the story to an Australian TV show last year, she said, "I thought, ‘It’s my life,’ and I just decided to keep it to myself.”

3. Spreading

In 2017, the star revealed the cancer was not only back, but it had spread to her back. The official diagnosis was Stage 4 Breast cancer. She claims to be treating the disease with natural wellness therapies, including medicinal marijuana.

4. Dire situation

Yesterday, Radar Online reported that the singer’s condition has worsened and she’s struggling to stay alive. “Olivia’s bodily functions appear to be shutting down but she refuses to let go until she makes it through Chloe’s wedding day!” a anonymous source told the website.

5. Denial

After that report posted, reps for the Olivia Newton-John denied the whole report. Her manager says the story is hilarious because it’s not true. The star herself made a video denying the claim. 

6. What next

Olivia Newton-John remains optimistic throughout everything. In 2017, when asked if she was scared, she told reporters, “I’d be lying if I said I never go there. There are moments, I’m human. If I allowed myself to go there, I could easily create that fear. But my husband’s always there, and he’s there to support me. I believe I will win over it. That’s my goal.”
