About Jon Pease

To date, I have presented to over 12,000 people through my organization Not-the-Target (www.notthetarget.org). I provide parents, children and teachers with the information they need to be assertive and stand up for themselves. I also started The Therapy Co-Operative, an organization dedicated to making sure therapists are they best they can be.

Counseling Philosophy

I believe that each human possesses the capacity to live a meaningful life. I work with both thoughts and feelings to help you find meaning in your life. During sessions, I strive to provide you with a safe and nourishing learning environment to explore your particular challenges.

By exploring thoughts and feelings, we integrate our own internal intellectual and body wisdom to define a meaningful life. We are all teachers and students. I love the process of counseling because we learn from one another during sessions.

Areas of Emphasis

Motivation/Focus

One of my favorite things to do is find out what makes us humans tick. I work with individuals struggling with finding and staying motivated. Through individual work and group forums, I've helped many people learn what truly motivates them.

Bullying

I have presented to more than 12,000 students, teachers and parents providing anti-bullying support through my organization, not-the-target.

School Based Counseling

For more than 5 years I have worked closely with schools and their students in therapeutic settings. I hire, train and manage trainees and interns at a non-profit agency.
