As a candidate for this role, you should have a deep understanding of the digital media and publishing landscape and be able to leverage technology to enhance user experience and engagement, drive traffic, increase revenue, and support the team in various new initiatives that facilitate growth and impact.
You should also have a demonstrated ability to understand and work with content management systems and programmatic advertising, specifically an understanding of LAMP platforms and their maintenance for high-performance websites, hardware monitoring/security, Drupal CMS/WordPress CMS, understanding of programmatic platforms for ad delivery, understanding of APIs and web services to deliver additional services on the website, understanding of web analytics and business intelligence platforms.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives.
- Oversee the management of our technological resources, including web development, CMS, dedicated server hosting, and web services.
- Hire, manage, and mentor teams of developers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality results.
- Evaluate and implement new systems and infrastructure to improve efficiency, profitability, and security.
- Collaborate with other executives and stakeholders to identify opportunities for technological innovation and improvement.
- Ensure technologies are used efficiently, profitably, and securely throughout the organization.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements, making recommendations for new technologies and tools that can benefit the company.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a leader in development and technology – preferably in the digital publishing or media industry.
- Strong knowledge of web development, CMS (knowledge of Drupal is a plus), dedicated server hosting, and web services.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions based on data and analytics.
- Experience in hiring, managing, and mentoring teams of developers.
- Strong understanding of industry trends and advancements in technology.
