How To Get Over A Breakup And Heal Your Broken Heart Naturally

A bad breakup will always result in a broken heart.

He was a real jerk, moody, unpredictable with his affection, and often absent when you needed him the most. Deep down in your heart-of-hearts, you knew he wasn't the one for you so you kicked his emotionally unavailable butt out the door last week and shout, "Good riddance!"

Now, all you want is to learn how to get over a breakup and move on with your life. Heartbroken, you are on the verge of calling him to come back and resume your relationship.

You may have broken up but you haven't broken your energetic cords with him so you're going to have a tough time getting over the breakup quickly and cleanly.

Don't panic. There are some simple things you can do to speed up your healing process along.

Here are 3 steps you need to take:

1. Grieve the loss.

First and foremost, take some "me' time. Give yourself a moment to be sad, mad, or disappointed that the relationship didn't work out the way you wanted. Honor those emotions. Just don't get stuck in the energetic "goo" that breakups often leave behind.

Every time you start to feel sad or lonely, distract yourself with something you love doing (NOT eating a pint of ice cream!). Take a bubble bath or better yet, take a salt bath. Salt is well known for clearing stale energy and removing it from your aura.

You can use Himalayan pink salt, but any good mineral salt (cheaper) will do the job. You can add some Epsom salt to the water, but you want it to be mostly mineral salt in order to cleanse your aura properly. Use a minimum of 8 ounces of salt. Soak for 15 minutes and then shower off. You will feel amazing and the salt will break up all that all stale emotion and wash it away.

2. Declutter your stuff.

Next, remove any of his belongings. Remember, this isn't an excuse to call and meet him for the exchange. This is clearing anything that has his energetic signature on it from your home. If he hasn't called to retrieve it in more than a week, it wasn't that valuable to him. Give it away or toss it.

Do a physical cleanup. Get rid of any clutter or mess he might have left. Change the bed. Clean the bathroom. Toss out any of his foods in the cabinet.

Now, smudge your house. Using white sage or another clearing incense will do wonders to clear away any of the remaining energy from the breakup.

(I talk more about smudging in my book, Smudging, Clear Negative Energy from Your Life & Home.)

3. Cut your energetic cords with him.

And finally, this is the most powerful thing you can do to get over the breakup fast. There are many ways to cut your cords. Here is a simple one.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Get yourself calm. Say a prayer if you like. Give thanks for all the good things in your life. Honor the relationship even if it wasn't a good match for you long term. You can honor him as a fellow human being.

Once you are calm, in your mind's eye, see the cords between the two of you. Keeping your eyes closed, take your right hand and make some imaginary scissors with your fingers. Make a cutting motion and snip those cords. There may be several and they may be thick, so be sure you cut them all completely. See the cords evaporate like a puff of smoke once they are cut.

Repeat anytime the relationship comes to mind or you are tempted to call him.

So now you know how to get over a bad breakup fast. Clear all that old stale relationship energy from your life and you will be ready much faster for that perfect love to come into your life and rock your world!
