Spending the holidays single? Instead of just trying to survive it, you should take advantage of it!

Some articles out there would have you believe that you should stop dating during the holidays and brace yourself for a lonely season. There are actual guides telling you how to survive the holidays while single, as if it’s the worst thing in life to be single during the holidays.

Well I’m here to tell you that the most wonderful time of the year is also the best time to date. And here's why!

1. Those Dating Are Looking For Meaningful Connections.

The holidays are all about spending time with loved ones and reflecting on the last year. People are seeking meaningful connections during this time, especially if they’re away from home. The people you do meet and date are more likely to open up and be vulnerable with you during this time of year.

2. Everyone Is In A Giving Mood.

Some of the best dates I’ve ever been on were during the holiday season. People are naturally more giving during the holidays. Since they’re already giving gifts to their friends and family, their generosity and creativeness spills over to their dating life.

3. Winter Is Romantic.

Whether you’re kissing in the rain, cuddling by a fire, or binging on a TV show you both just discovered while escaping the snowstorm outside, there’s something that makes winter more romantic than any other season.

If you meet and start dating during the holidays then there’s no pressure to perform relationship duties with your new interest. When you don’t have to over think and wonder what everything means you are left to have romantic, giving and meaningful dates where you may actually find a real connection. How great is that?
